Meet the Team

Dr. Nicole Russo is a Kenner native with deep roots in the local community. A graduate of Archbishop Chapelle High School, she pursued her undergraduate degree at Auburn University, where she earned academic and athletic scholarships and played collegiate softball. Dr. Russo continued her education at LSU School of Dentistry, earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

Dr. Russo’s passion for dentistry is driven by her desire to make patients happy and confident with their smiles. She listens closely to her patients’ needs and prioritizes their health and well-being in every treatment plan. Beyond dentistry, Dr. Russo is married to her best friend, Blake, and they have two wonderful children. She enjoys Saints football, outdoor activities like biking and camping, cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Terry Fugetta, DDS, affectionately known as “Dr. Fu,” has been practicing dentistry for more than 46 years. Deeply passionate about his work, he is dedicated to helping his patients maintain their beautiful smiles for a lifetime. Dr. Fugetta has been married to his wife, Cece, for 48 years, and together they have three beautiful daughters. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys playing golf, cooking, and cheering on the Saints, LSU, and the Yankees.

Born and raised in mid-city New Orleans, Dr. Fugetta attended Jesuit High School, LSUNO, and LSU dental schools. His commitment to organized dentistry includes serving as president of the New Orleans Dental Association and as general chairman of the New Orleans Dental Conference.

A Metairie native, Dr. Katie attended Archbishop Chapelle High School, earned her undergraduate degree from ULL, and obtained her DDS from LSU School of Dentistry. She is a well-rounded practitioner, and her favorite aspects of practicing include placing implants, treating children, and performing facial aesthetic procedures such as Botox, fillers, and microneedling to enhance both oral health and overall appearance.

Dr. Katie likes to stay up to date with the latest technology to provide the best care possible for her patients.

When she’s not treating her own patients, you can often find her in Dr. Russo’s operatory, chatting with her. Outside the office, she enjoys attending Taylor Swift concerts, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Joanne Hoppe is excited to be part of Russo Family Dentistry. Her career in oral health began with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene from Loyola University in New Orleans. She later earned her nursing degree from Baylor Nursing School in 1980 and worked as both a dental hygienist in private practice and a registered nurse on the head and neck cancer floor at Baylor Hospital.

In 1988, Dr. Hoppe completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at Baylor College of Dentistry. For over 30 years, she owned and operated a private dental practice in Dallas, where she built long-lasting relationships with patients and honed her expertise in comprehensive dental care.

A lifelong learner, Dr. Hoppe is dedicated to staying at the forefront of modern dentistry. She holds Gold Status with Invisalign, is Bioclear Certified for Advanced Composites, and has completed extensive advanced training and workshops with renowned educator Dr. Frank Spear. She first met Dr. Russo and Dr. Famiglio through an Invisalign study club, where they discovered a shared passion for excellence in patient care.

Dr. Hoppe also enjoys contributing to the community, from supporting local science programs to mentoring future dental professionals.

Outside of the office, she and her husband, Michael, love cooking, gardening, traveling, and antiquing together.
